Chris Klaus: Securing the Internet

When the internet first began to gain widespread popularity, one of the main concerns was the security of information being shared online. With the threat of identity theft, credit card fraud and other similar forms of cybercrime, it was small wonder that people like Christopher Klaus were needed. Klaus, a former student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, founded Internet Security Systems in the 1990s, including the Internet Scanner that served as an extremely helpful security tool.

Chris Klaus then became ISS' Chief Technology Officer, devoting his time and energies to addressing computer security issues before stepping down in 2004. When the Internet Scanner was first launched, it made waves as an ingenious solution, garnering numerous awards in internet security. While Klaus is not currently an officer of the company, he has retained significant shares in the company and is still Chief Security Advisor of ISS. Klaus is founded Kaneva and is now its CEO.
